Helen Fosam is a medical writer who joined Sunrise Toastmasters in 2019, after years of searching for and wasting plenty of dollars in the process, on coaching to improve her public speaking skills. Speaking with confidence, particularly with decision-makers, was important to Helen to advance her MiLHO Initiative, dedicated to expanding access to continuing medical education opportunities in Africa.  With the support and encouragement from fellow Toastmasters, Helen has grown in confidence to step out of her comfort zone to stand in front of the crowd while also learning skills in listening, leadership, and organization. In her spare time, Helen enjoys gardening and cooking.
