A Sunrise Community of Support

Sunrise Toastmasters demonstrates reason #1,346 to show up at 7:25 am every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.

Today’s meeting theme was “building community,” but we built more than that. Our visionary attendees transformed piles of Legos into a recycling machine, Bullwinkle, a war chariot, and a building topped with the Liberty Bell.

Special thanks to our Toastmaster Nikki Gingrich and our General Evaluator Erika Liodice (who also captured the team building exercise on video!)

What happens when there is inclement weather?

Sunrise Toastmasters follows Parkland School District:

If Parkland has a delayed opening or closure due to inclement weather, the Sunrise Toastmaster meeting is canceled for that day.

When meetings are canceled, it’s just that – canceled. So, if you had a scheduled role, you can reschedule it for a future meeting. Or you can simply keep all that preparation in your pocket for a different occasion – it’s entirely up to you.

New Year’s Resolutions

Resolve to start the new year right and join us on January 3 at 7:25 am for our next meeting — the topic is New Year’s Resolutions. Your Toastmaster will be Corey Kirshner, with Rom Guzman serving as General Evaluator.

We hope to see you there!

It's amazing to watch the progress of our members as they grow from that first, knee-knocking ice breaker speech into award-winning speakers.

Tim Burke

“Toastmasters has helped me communicate more efficiently and has given me confidence to speak in front of groups.”

Brian Colon, CC

Out of all the benefits I received from Sunrise Toastmasters, gaining self confidence in workplace meetings is tops on the list.

Henry Lai

Sunrise Toastmasters is a great club to help you enhance your speaking abilities, gain confidence to move out of your comfort zone (by starting with small speaking roles and moving into speeches at your own pace), and obtain skills to be a leader.

Tina Werkheiser, CL

"This club and experience has brought me from total social phobia to a place where I actually am willing to volunteer to speak in front of small groups."

Martha Cichelli, AC-B
